Siam Park Tenerife – the best water park in Spain

Siam Park, Tenerife – the most visited water park in Spain, located in the southern part of the island. In addition to the fact that it is completely made in Thai style, there is a huge pool with artificial waves, which are officially recognized as the highest in the world.

General information

Siam Park is one of the largest water parks in Europe, located in the south of Tenerife. The entertainment center was opened in 2008, and immediately became very popular with local residents and guests of the resort.

The territory of the Siam Park water park in Tenerife is about 185 thousand square meters. m., which houses not only dozens of swimming pools and water attractions, but also a huge green park with exotic plants, similar to Thai.

Once in Siam Park, you can really think that you are in Asia: there are figures of elephants, tigers and lions everywhere, bridges and decorative elements are similar to Thai ones, and many trees planted in the park were brought from China, Thailand and Vietnam. Interestingly, the water park was designed not by a European – but by a well-known designer from Bangkok.

Attractions

In Siam Park, all entertainment is divided into 2 categories:

Family services

The rides included in this category are the safest and most suitable even for children:

  1. Naga Racer is a complex consisting of several high slides. It is assumed that visitors to the park can compete with each other – who can go down faster?
  2. Jungle Snake – a huge slide made in the shape of a snake. You can go down from it on both a double and a single mattress. The descent will take about a minute.
  3. The Lost City is a unique playground for children under 15 years of age. The younger generation can play here, roll down 15 slides of different lengths and overcome other obstacles – climb a rope, crawl to the opposite end of the city on a grid, climb one of the towers.
  4. The Wave Palace or The Palace of Waves is the largest swimming pool in the park in Tenerife, which is famous for the highest artificial waves in the world. Here you can surf and jump from towers, walk along the boardwalk made in the Chinese style. Acceptable height-from 1.25 cm.
  5. The Giant is one of the most popular areas of the water park, made in the shape of a monster’s head. In fact, this is an attraction-a funnel, sliding along which tourists will find themselves in a tunnel slide.

Another place that is located in the “Family Entertainment” zone is Bodhi Trail. This is a huge territory with playgrounds for children and interesting sculptural compositions. Teenagers can not only relax here, but also play hide-and-seek, arrange competitions among themselves.

There is also a Sawasdee area specially designed for small children. Here are several smaller versions of the famous rides that children can ride.

Adrenaline rush

Only adults and children over 1.25 cm tall can enter this area of the park.

  1. Kinnaree is a tunnel slide with a huge funnel at the end. The staff of Siam Park in Tenerife promise that everyone who dares to ride this attraction will take their breath away. Acceptable height-from 1.25 cm.
  2. Mekong Rapids is an Indiana Jones-style attraction. Tourists will find long slides running through the jungle, many unexpected turns and beautiful views of the park. Acceptable height-from 1.10 cm.
  3. The Dragon is a unique attraction for Europe. Its special feature is that the raft, which accommodates 4 people, glides along a vertical funnel, and this gives an incredible feeling of flight and weightlessness. Acceptable height-from 1.25 cm.
  4. The Tower of Power is a huge water slide that is 28 meters long. It can accelerate to a speed of 80 km/h. However, this is not the most important thing – during the descent you will pass through a huge aquarium, which is home to stingrays and sharks. Acceptable height-from 1.40 cm (the child must be at least 14 years old).
  5. The Volcano attraction is a huge dark tunnel, where tourists will see a laser show that resembles a volcanic eruption. Acceptable height-from 1.25 cm.
  6. Singha is a long speed roller coaster that will allow you to accelerate up to 50 km/h. You will find many turns (about 14) and fall into the pool at the very end of the route. Acceptable height-from 1.25 cm.
  7. Patong Rapids is the longest ride in the water park. Visitors to Siam Park will find both dark tunnels with laser shows and open areas that offer a beautiful view of the island of Tenerife. Acceptable height-from 1.10 cm.

Places for a relaxing holiday

Beach and swimming pool

The park has 2 official beaches. This:

  1. Siam Beach. This is the beach with the whitest and brightest natural sand of the Canary Islands. The location is popular as there is a large wave pool nearby. There are sun beds, umbrellas and tables on the beach. It also offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
  2. Coco Beach is a huge beach with an area of 1000 square kilometers, which many tourists consider a must-visit. In addition to sun beds and umbrellas, there are several cafes and bars, there is entertainment for children and adults. A large wave pool is located nearby. Interestingly, the sand for this beach is brought from Africa.

The largest and most famous swimming pool in the park in Tenerife is known as the Palace of Waves. So it is called because its artificial waves are considered the highest in the world.

The pool area looks more like a real beach in some Asian country than a water park – snow-white sand, a Chinese-style boardwalk and several traditional Thai buildings towering over the jungle. The pool is very popular.

Cabanas, VIP cabins, VIP villas

If you don’t want to wait in line for a long time at the entrance, or want to be alone, VIP cabins are just the thing. On the territory of Siam Park there are 3 villas with large terraces and everything you need inside (appliances, towels, shower inside and mini-bar).

VIP lodge

The villas resemble traditional Thai housing, so if you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the East, you should come here. The park staff offers guests an entertainment program, lunch and VIP service, which includes access to attractions without waiting in line and full escort.

Floating Market

Floating Market

The floating market in Siam Water Park is an analog of real floating markets that are common in Asian countries. Tourists will be taken by boat to a small Asian-style neighborhood where you can buy fruits, vegetables and sweets right on the water.

After shopping, tourists can go out on land, take a walk around the Thai quarter.

Where to eat

Siam Park features 5 cafes and bars:

The Tea House

This is a small cafe where you can taste aromatic coffee, drink a cup of Chinese oolong or taste green tea from Sri Lanka. Guests can also enjoy traditional Asian sweets and light snacks.

The Tea House

Beach Club is located right on the beach, so it is very popular with tourists. It serves European and American cuisine: burgers, vegetable salads, fried chicken and French fries.
