Nha Trang’s markets are one of the main attractions of the city located in the east of Vietnam. Here you can always find fresh food and just watch the life of the locals. Previously, the markets were visited only by the Nha Trang people themselves, but the enterprising Vietnamese quickly realized and turned the bazaars into real attractions of the city.
Nha Trang markets are very attractive for buyers, because the role of sellers is most often played by simple farmers who grow their products. Unlike Russian markets, prices here are much lower than in supermarkets, and products are environmentally friendly (Vietnamese farmers simply do not have money for chemicals).
Cho Dam

Perhaps the Cho Dam market in Nha Trang is the most popular among visitors to the city. It is officially the largest and most often tourists come here who want to see the life of ordinary Vietnamese people. The main advantage of this market is the variety of products: here you can find almost everything, from fruit to clothing from local manufacturers.
However, there is also a negative side: due to the fact that the place is very popular, prices in this market are slightly higher than in the neighboring ones. Please note that if the seller speaks Russian, their prices are several times higher than those of other merchants. But most importantly, remember: bargaining is always welcome!
The main building has a circular shape, it is reserved for the sale of clothing, shoes, bags, souvenirs, etc. Further, in a semicircular room, local people sell a variety of dried fruits and nuts, dried and dried fish and seafood, and other products that do not spoil quickly. And in the last section you can buy meat and fish, vegetables and fruits.

As mentioned above, Nha Trang’s Cho Dam Market is the most popular and crowded, which is why it attracts pickpockets. This is not to say that the security situation is bad, because most Vietnamese are hardworking and not used to taking someone else’s things, but you should always be on the lookout: do not leave things unattended and do not trust unknown people.

Xom Moi, unlike Cho Dam, can not be called the fish market of Nha Trang, because here they mainly sell vegetables and fruits. It is also rare to find shops with souvenirs or traditional clothing. But sometimes there are sellers of seafood and tea, rice and other cereals, sometimes-flowers. By the way, if you want to try Vietnamese shrimp or fish, then go to the fruit market in Nha Trang early in the morning: the seafood will be fresh and as delicious as possible.

As for prices, they are lower on Ksmo Moi than on the Cho Dam market, but they are still not the most profitable for buyers. How to bargain in Nha Trang?
Vietnamese, like other Asians – are very gambling people, and they love bidding. Therefore, absolutely all products sold in the markets already have the value that you can throw off. Of course, there are different sellers, and some do not want to give the product cheaper. If you meet such a merchant, then feel free to leave, because the other one will definitely lower the price.

Also remember that you need to smile broadly and be persistent when bidding. Vietnamese people are emotional people, and if you notice that the seller is offended by the low price offered by you, just ignore it.
If the merchant does not want to give the item for your price, then just put the goods on the counter, and pretend that you are leaving. In 70% of cases, the seller will call out to you and agree to sell the product on your terms.
Nha Trang’s markets are interesting places to visit, so you can not only get into the spirit of the city, but also buy a couple of interesting things.
