The two-story Church of St. Nectarius is a smaller “sister” of the eponymous temple located in Rhodes. This is a functioning Orthodox cathedral with a gentrified territory, where church music is often played and services are held. As in all Greek temples, you can use shawls and skirts for free, light a candle for a voluntary donation, and drink and wash your face with sacred water from the spring in front of the entrance.
Usually there are few travelers in the church, but on weekends, especially on Sundays, there are many parishioners with young children.

Califea Springs Bathhouse

The mineral thermal springs are located 9 km south of the capital city of Rhodes, midway to Faliraki. The doors to the springs were opened on July 1, 2007, after many years of reconstruction of the seaside monument. Here you can swim in the healthy warm waters at any time of the year, take a keepsake photo from Faliraki against the backdrop of artificial waterfalls, and admire the natural scenery.
Califea Springs is a small sandy and pebble beach with sun loungers, a bar and other amenities. The water here is always calm and warm, and the approach is gentle, so in the season you can meet many families with children. In addition to the springs, Califea Springs is known for its regular exhibitions, which are held in the large rotunda.

Beaches
The best seaside resort in Greece offers vacationers 8 beaches with different surfaces. Find out in this section what the sea is like in Faliraki, where nudist zones are located and where to go with children.
Faliraki Main Beach
A four-kilometer beach covered with sand is located one kilometer from the Faliraki Water Park. The bottom can be seen through the crystal clear water, and the city administration carefully monitors the state of the coastal zone. There is a convenient entrance to the water, shallow, pebbles and stones are closer to the end of the left side of the beach. The sea here is calm – this place is suitable for families with children.

The main beach of Faliraki has all the necessary amenities: sun beds and umbrellas (10 euros per pair), showers and toilets, cafes, restaurants and bars. In addition, tourists are offered a wide range of entertainment options, including:

- “Banana “;
- Water skiing;
- Parasailing;
- Motor chute, catamaran, jet ski rides;
- Windsurfing.
An interesting feature of the beach is the presence of a nudist zone. There are also umbrellas and sun beds (5 € per piece), “bananas” and a rental area, showers and toilets. This part is hidden from the eyes of others in a small bay, to go there by accident, as well as to see what you do not want, will not work.
Minuses:
- No waste bins.
- High density of vacationers in the season.
Traganou Beach

7 km south of Faliraki is the large and wide Traganou Beach. There are much fewer tourists, a clear sea and a clean coast covered with medium-sized pebbles. The entrance to the water is convenient, although it is quite sharp — after 4 meters from the shore, the depth exceeds 2 m, so you need to carefully monitor the children. Far from the coast there are many fish and beautiful seaweed, do not forget to take masks. You can take great photos on this beach in Faliraki (Rhodes).

Rent sun beds and umbrellas on Tragana costs 5 euros per day (per piece), but you can do without them, sitting on your own bedding. On the beach there is a tavern with low prices, showers, changing rooms and toilets are available. On weekends, local residents of Rhodes come to the beach, but there are not many tourists even in the season.
The disadvantages include the lack of trees and natural shade; a small number of restrooms (only near cafes); lack of active entertainment and shops.
Anthony Queen
This beach became one of the most popular in all of Greece after the filming of the movie “Zorba the Greek” with Anthony Quinn in the title role. Covered with small pebbles mixed with sand, it is hidden in a small bay surrounded by many tall plants, 4 km south of the village.

This place is unique from the point of view of fauna – lovers of diving (dive 70€/person) and snorkeling (rent 15€) come here from all over Greece. In summer, you can only find a free sunbed on Anthony Queen Beach in the early morning, but you can’t relax on your blanket here, since the coast is very small and there is practically no space free from amenities.

On the territory of this beach of Faliraki (Rhodes) there are several toilets and showers, changing rooms. The water here is calm all year round, as this is not the Mediterranean Sea itself, but its emerald Bay. From the shore, you can enjoy an amazing view of the surrounding rocks covered with green plants.
Minuses:
- Lack of infrastructure and entertainment;
- Small territory and a large influx of tourists.
Mandomata

This is the largest nude beach in the village of Faliraki and the island of Rhodes in general. It is only a half-hour walk from the outskirts of the city, but it is not visible to prying eyes, so it is quite difficult to find it. Here you can enjoy the beauty of unspoilt nature, plunge into the warm and clear sea, relax in the shade of trees under the sound of water.
Unlike other nudist beaches in Greece, you can rent a sunbed and umbrella, take a shower and even relax in a tavern located right on the coast. Please note that the entrance to the water here is not very convenient, as it is filled with fragments of rocks – be sure to take slippers for swimming. In general, the beach is strewn with small stones covered with sand.

Disadvantages:
- No entertainment or shopping options;
- It’s hard to get there.
Important! This nude beach of Rhodes belongs to the category of “mix”, that is, both women and men relax here.
Tassos
The beach is hidden in a picturesque rocky bay 7 km from the city. This place is not suitable for lovers of sandy descents into the water, as here tourists will have to sunbathe on large and small stones. Access to the sea is not very convenient, metal stairs are installed in some places, it is better to bring special shoes.

Despite the fact that the beach is completely rocky, it also has all the necessary amenities: sun beds, umbrellas, showers, toilets and changing rooms. The infrastructure is not very well developed, but there is still a good beach cafe in Thassos that serves Greek national cuisine and delicious seafood. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the beach. Great place for snorkeling.
Disadvantages: inconvenient access to water, undeveloped infrastructure.
Ladiko
Popular in Greece, Rhodes beach is located three kilometers from Faliraki, next to the coast of Anthony Queen, in a small picturesque bay. There are fewer tourists here, as the entrance to the water is quite sharp and a large depth begins after 3 meters, which is not suitable for families with children. The sea is clear and calm, deep, you can go snorkeling from huge boulders located right in the water. Snorkeling and diving are the most popular activities.

Ladiko is actually divided into two parts – sandy and rocky, so here you can take unusual photos against the background of the sea in Faliraki. On its territory there is a basic set of amenities: sun beds and umbrellas (10 euros set), toilets and showers, a tavern is built nearby (cocktails for 7-10 euros, smoothies and juices-about 5-6 euros). There is not much space on the beach, so if you want to relax on your own blanket, come to the coast by 9 am.
Carefully! You should not swim on this beach without special slippers, as you can get hurt on the rocks at the bottom.
Minuses:
- You can not relax without a sunbed;
- It is inconvenient to enter the sea;
- A lot of people.
Traganu

Falikari is 4 km from a wide, sparsely populated pebble beach. It impresses with its unusual beauty: high cliffs, amazing caves, an emerald-colored bay. The water here is very clean, the depth begins almost immediately, the entrance to the water is gradual, but the bottom is stone. Most of the territory is empty.

Traganu has all the basic amenities: sun beds and umbrellas for 10 euros per day, fresh water showers, changing rooms and toilets. Due to the fact that the coast of the beach stretches for several kilometers, here you can sit on your blankets in any corner of the coast.
Disadvantages: the northern area of Traganu is entirely dedicated to military recreation and is closed to ordinary tourists. If you have entered a prohibited area, you will be notified by signs with the corresponding inscription.
Interesting fact! It is said that Traganu, compared to the rest of the beaches of Greece and Rhodes, has cold water, because there are springs in the local caves. In fact, this temperature difference is not more than 2oC.
Catalos
A small pebble beach is located just 2.5 km from the outskirts of the city. Its length is about 4 km, so even in high season, every traveler can find a secluded place to relax.

Catalos is not the best beach in Rhodes for families with children. Here, of course, very calm sea, clean coast and unspoilt nature, but after 6 meters from the shore, the water reaches 3-4 meters in depth.

The beach has all the necessary amenities and several places for entertainment. A sun lounger and parasol can be rented for€ 12 per day, changing cabins, toilets and showers are free of charge. In Catalos, there is not only a bar and cafe, but also local service, which allows you to enjoy refreshing drinks without breaking away from the beautiful sea coast.
Minuses:
- The beach is not very suitable for snorkeling, as there are few animals;
- It is dangerous to relax with children;
- There is practically no entertainment.
