Es Trenc beach is one of the most famous and mysterious beaches in Majorca, located between several famous resorts, but none of them belongs to any of them. For its white sand and picturesque views, it is often called the “Spanish Caribbean”.
Tourists say that you can either fall in love with this beach at first sight, or hate it. The place is really controversial. On the one hand, it is very beautiful here, and there are places where there are absolutely no people. On the other hand, this is a nudist beach, so you can hardly relax with children here.
Beach Features
Es Trenc is located in the southern part of the island between several famous resorts, but none of them belongs. The nearest points on the map are Colonia Sant Jordi (3.5 km) and Ses Covetes (3 km). The distance from the city of Palma is 45 km –
The length of the beach is just over 2 km, but due to its small width (only 20 m), it is not so easy to find free places here.
The sand is fine and snow-white, similar to flour. The entrance to the sea is smooth, so Es Trenc is suitable even for families with children. The depth is small-up to the ankle.
Despite the fact that the beach is located far from the resorts, it has all the necessary infrastructure: sun beds (3 euros for 2 hours), umbrellas (3 euros for 3 hours), toilets and changing rooms. A couple of restaurants are open (the most budget one is Ses Covettes) and there are ramps for people with disabilities.

There are no classic beach activities (inflatable banana rides, boats and speedboats), but windsurfing is very popular – you can find an instructor and rent sports equipment on the spot.
There are several natural attractions in the vicinity of Es Trenc: golden sand dunes and lakes, where you can meet many birds and insects on the shores.
How to get to the beach
Getting to the beach is not as difficult as many people think. There are two options:
- On foot
If you live in one of the neighboring resorts, then this is the most convenient option. For example, you can walk along the coastline from the resort of Colonia Sant Jordi to Es Trenc in 30-35 minutes. The road will pass along the seashore, so time will fly by unnoticed. Along the way, you will also “meet” several other beaches.

- The car
This method of transportation is relevant for those who want to visit several more neighboring beaches. It is necessary to move along the Ma-6040 highway, and then turn to the right side, and go all the way. The only drawback of such a move is that you will not be able to park your car directly near the beach. You can park it either near the highway or in the parking lot of the Ses Covettesz restaurant (10 euros).
