Aquaventure Atlantis is a grandiose water park in Dubai, on The Palm Jumeirah island in the Persian Gulf. This amusement park is one of the largest not only in the United Arab Emirates, but also in the entire Middle East. It covers an area of 17 hectares, and more than 18,000,000 liters of water are used to create attractions.
In general, the Palm Islands themselves can be considered a real miracle, because they were all created artificially. On the first of them, Palm Jumeirah, in 2008, one of the largest and most luxurious Atlantis hotel in the world appeared. It is on the territory of this hotel that grandiose water activities for the whole family, known as Aquaventure Atlantis, are arranged.
How to organize entertainment in the water park
Atlantis Water Park in Dubai offers a huge amount of entertainment for guests of different ages. Here you can go rafting on the river with waterfalls and rapids, go down from water slides, swim with dolphins, take a diving training course. A special play area is organized for the smallest visitors.

A distinctive feature of Aquaventure is the sequence of water activities. This water park is designed so that after passing one attraction, visitors can easily move on to the next, turning their vacation into a real exciting adventure.
The Lazy River flows through the entire water park, its total length is more than 1.5 km. This river passes both under the open sky and through caves, and its flow, although smooth, but in some places forms quite violent streams. By taking inflatable single or double circles, you can safely swim along the Lazy River, relax and take a sun bath.

There are several exits from the river: spacious open spaces with steps to the bank or directly to the slide. This makes it possible to move from one fascinating attraction to another in order. It turns out that it is quite possible to move only on water, even without going out on land. But hiking is also a pleasure, because the territory of Atlantis is very picturesque.
Along the entire river, every 10-15 meters there are rescuers, tirelessly watching the vacationers.
Extreme recreation for adults
For fans of extreme sensations, the Aquaventure water park in Dubai offers a lot of interesting things: just the names will make your heart beat faster.
Poseidon Tower
This 30-meter-high tower is the newest in the Aquaventure entertainment complex. It includes slides of different heights and lengths. Persons who are more than 1.2 m tall are allowed to visit the Poseidon Tower.

Located here, the attraction “Poseidon’s Revenge” is called simply “Kamikaze”by many. At the very top of the building there are transparent capsules, inside which those who want to get a dose of adrenaline go down the vertical slide. A person goes inside the capsule, puts his hands on his chest (it is strictly forbidden to change their position during the descent), and then the door closes, the floor literally falls through, and a rapid fall begins into the dark abyss at a speed of 60 km/h. The descent, during which there will even be “dead loops”, ends in the foaming waters of the pool at the bottom of the tower.

The “Zoomerango” attraction is designed for 6 people-they will experience the laws of gravity, descending from a height of 14 m on one raft. It seems that the 156-meter descent takes only a moment, but in such a short period of time, a lot will happen: rapid falls, steep ascents and flights in zero gravity.
Aquaconda is the longest water slide not only in Atlantis and Dubai, but also in the world: its length is 210 m, width – 9 m, height – 25 m. They descend from it on inflatable rafts, which can accommodate 6 people. The maximum speed at which water flows carry rafts down winding, exciting and unpredictable tunnels of various types reaches 35 km / h.

The Slytherin water slide is considered unique – it is the world’s first double descent in the descent, which partially passes through the Aquaconda slide. Slytherin” has a height of 31 m, length – 182 m. At the finish line there are special boards that show the speed of movement of all participants of the attraction – this makes it possible not only to go down the steep bends of the slide, but also to arrange competitions with each other.
Neptune Tower

Not everyone is allowed to participate in extreme activities on the Neptune Tower-only those whose height exceeds 1.2 m are allowed to climb. At the foot of the tower there is a pool with sharks and giant stingrays, and here they offer entertainment that is directly related to this pool.
The Shark Attack slide, which starts at an altitude of 30 m, extends deep into the tower, then goes along the bottom of the reservoir. The slide has a completely transparent tube, and visitors to Aquaventure, descending on it, very close to see marine predators. You can go down in pairs or alone.

Here, guests of the Atlantis Water Park are offered another very bright entertainment called “Leap of Faith”. This slide is considered the most extreme here: a descent at crazy speed along a transparent, almost vertical pipe 27 m long, which passes through the same pool with numerous predators. You can only go down here alone and without a raft.
On the Neptune Tower, visitors will find another unusual, although not so extreme attraction. We are talking about a system of slides, where water flows lift a person up, and then lower him down at high speed. At the same time, the path passes through dark tunnels with sharp turns, and ends in a calm river.
Ziggurat Tower
On the territory of the Aquaventure water complex in Dubai, there is a unique Ziggurat Tower, the architecture of which is designed in the style of ancient temples of Ancient Mesopotamia. This 30-meter-high building has 7 slides, which are located on 3 different levels, which allows visitors to descend from different heights. The most popular and extreme attraction on the Ziggurat Tower is the Shamal spiral slide.

Atlantean Pilots Zipline

Another surprise waiting for Aquaventure visitors is the cable car track, which rises 20 m above the water park. This cable car ride is the first and longest not only in Dubai, but also in the United Arab Emirates. The speed that Atlantean Pilots can develop during the flight reaches 15 km/h.
Relaxing holidays: swimming pools, beach

Having a rest in Atlantis, it is worth remembering about swimming as such. Moreover, there are many pools with gradually increasing depth – visitors of any height can swim there. There is also an adult-only Zero Entry pool where you can swim in peace. And in The Torrent, tidal waves periodically rise, reaching a height of 1 m.
The Aquaventure water complex has one specific feature: it is located on the Persian Gulf coast and has a private beach stretching 700 m. This private beach in Dubai is only accessible to water park guests and is included in the Aquaventure admission price.

There is an exclusive recreation area “Neptune’s Chambers” at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, completely surrounded by lush tropical greenery. Access to this area can be reserved in advance on the aquapark’s website: www.atlantisthepalm.com/ru/marine-water-park/aquaventure-waterpark, and the entrance ticket is easy to get at the ticket office for VIP customers.
Please note: a detailed overview with photos of the best beaches on the coast of Dubai can be found here.
Entertainment for children
Young visitors to Aquaventure are also not left without attention – the Splashers game complex is equipped for them outside the water corridor system. Children up to 1.2 m tall are allowed to enter this area, but only when accompanied by adults. And although the complex is equipped with an emphasis on children, it provides an opportunity to have fun for the whole family.

What is a Splashers game pool? This is a mysterious fortress standing in the water, the walls of which are entangled with pipes with water constantly splashing out of them. There are a lot of interesting things here: water cannons, overturning buckets of water, unexpectedly turning on jet fountains. There are also 14 slides of various levels of difficulty coming out of the fortress: from miniature slides for toddlers, to high spiral slides that arouse interest even among adults. There is also a beautiful playground with cable descents and ascents, with nets-cobwebs-climbing on them, children will be able to” turn ” into real rock climbers.

In 2018, a new playground “Splashers Island” was opened on the territory of Atlantis in Dubai. Although it is aimed at the smallest number of visitors, it will also be interesting for adults to relax here. While the children will splash in the shallow pool, and descend from the slides included in it (there are 7 in total), parents can sit on sun loungers under umbrellas and relax in peace.
Show programs with animals
Aquaventure offers visitors not only a variety of attractions – here you can get to know the inhabitants of the seas, look at them and even feed them.
Shark Safari

The underwater show “Safari with Sharks” is very popular among visitors. Participants of the show dive into the waters of the Shark Lagoon, where marine life swims.
For diving, a special helmet is issued that creates an air pocket. Thanks to the supply of air, a person can breathe freely during an unusual walk along the bottom of the reservoir.
The entertainment is safe, and children from 10 years of age are allowed to join it, accompanied by their parents.
“Shark Safari” takes place every day, but it is better to buy tickets in advance. The program is not included in the general entrance ticket to the water park, it must be paid additionally.
Feeding bull rays
This show is no less popular, especially since in Dubai it is offered only by the Aquaventure water park. Stingrays live in the same Shark Lagoon, in shallow water. Participants of the program can not only watch these amazing creatures, but even feed them by hand.

Children from 6 years of age can take part in feeding bull rays, if they are accompanied by their parents. By the way, the photos taken during this program are the best memento of the incredible adventures in the water park in Dubai.
Entertainment is available daily, but you need to pay for it additionally.
Getting to know dolphins
On the territory of the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, there is another attraction – the Dolphin Bay Dolphinarium. To visit it, you need to buy a separate ticket, but it also gives you the opportunity to visit the Aquaventure water park and the beach.

The most amazing adventure that can be experienced in Dolphin Bay Lagoon is swimming, hugging and kissing with incredibly sociable and kind dolphins. Adults and children over 8 years of age are allowed to participate in such activities, provided that they know how to stay on the water and swim well: the actions take place at a depth of 3 m for 30 minutes.
