An island in Italy is named after a perfect vacation

Italians choose this island among the well-known resorts.

Ischia is a hospitable Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, known for its volcanic hot springs and lush greenery.

But most importantly, according to The Sun, it is much more affordable than neighboring Capri, where an espresso can cost almost $10, and the expensive and crowded Amalfi Coast. Ischia attracts Italians from other parts of the country who prefer to avoid the more popular tourist destinations.

At this time of year, the temperature is around +20°C. Tourists are greeted by colorful port buildings, people drinking coffee by the water’s edge, and water taxis transporting visitors to secluded beaches.

The publication noted that a single room at the 3-star Don Felipe Hotel, which offers stunning views of the 15th-century Aragonese Castle, costs $62 per night, which is a reasonable price considering that the hotel has a swimming pool and friendly staff.

Every tourist should definitely try an aperitif on the island – a pleasant ritual consisting of a cocktail and snacks before dinner. For this, the Ristorante Bar da Coco restaurant at the foot of the Aragonese Castle is perfect. There, the Aperol Spritz cocktail, which was served with a whole tray of snacks, costs $8.

But if you’re really hungry, you should check out Pizzeria di Scala, where pizza costs around $5 for takeout or a little more if you eat at this small but lively restaurant.

As for ice cream, the favorite is Ice Da Luciano, where a portion of delicious ice cream costs only a couple of euros. After enjoying it, head to one of the nearly 30 beaches, most of which have sandy shores and calm waters.

Maronti Beach is one of the most popular and longest beaches on the island, with a length of 2.8 km. The clear sea makes it an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling.

It is also a must to visit Sant’Angelo, a beautiful village with white houses and bright pink bougainvillea at every step. It is also worth visiting the nearby hot springs of Sorggetto.

Ischia is known for its volcanic activity, which causes mineral-rich thermal springs to release hot bubbles into the sea, creating a jacuzzi-like effect.

Although many spas offer paid air-conditioned pools, Sorgeto is a completely free resort and one of the most popular natural springs on the island.

“Take the stairs down to the picturesque bay and relax in this natural spa complex, where the waters massage your body and relieve pain,” the publication advised.

Journalists noted that the island of Ischia is unique and truly Italian, and visiting it does not have to be expensive.
