Nong Nooch Tropical Park is a famous and one of the most beautiful attractions not only in Pattaya, but also in all of Thailand. We suggest you take a short tour of the garden.
General information
The history of this park began in 1954, when the uninhabited land was acquired by Mrs. Nong Nooch, who came to Pattaya with her family. It was with her light hand that the huge territory, covering more than 200 hectares, first turned into a blooming orchard, and then into one of the main attractions of Thailand. And the blame for everything was an accident. The fact is that almost immediately after the deal was concluded, Madame Nong Nooch went on a long journey, during which she was so captivated by European gardens that she decided to create something similar on Thai soil.

This is how a tropical park was created, consisting of different thematic zones. Today, Madame Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya is a favorite holiday destination not only for locals, but also for many tourists who come to Pattaya from all over the world.
What to see in the park?
As you can see in the photo, the Nong Nooch tropical Park in Pattaya has gathered in its “walls” a large number of entertainment and attractions. Let’s consider only the main ones.
French Garden

The French garden is not for nothing called the main pride of the Nong Nooch Tropical Park in Thailand, because it intertwines seemingly incongruous elements – a classic European landscape and ancient Buddhist temples. This place is also similar to the famous Versailles – it has the same strict lines, perfectly manicured lawns, symmetrical borders and many different sculptures.
Orchid Garden

Orchids were the main passion of Madame Nong Nooch, so it is not surprising that an entire garden was set aside for these magnificent flowers. In addition, this place looks really beautiful, because only flowering plants are displayed for visitors. The rest are hidden in greenhouses.
Pot Garden

The pot garden can be called the most unusual place in the Nong Nooch tropical garden. Thanks to the creative ideas of designers, all sorts of figures made up of clay pots have appeared on its territory. Hearts, arches, locomotives, cars, gazebos, benches and other sculptures made from this household item attract the increased attention of tourists and serve as a wonderful photo zone.
Blue Garden

If you look at the tourist avenues of the Nong Nooch Botanical Park in Pattaya with a photo, you will see a beautiful Blue Garden. The main asset of this place is 2 plant collections at once. One of them is dedicated to ferns, the second to palm trees. By the way, today in the Blue Garden there are as many as 1,100 species out of 2,800 existing ones. And this is far from the limit! The park director plans to increase the already huge collection to 2,000 species, so the Blue Garden panopticon is regularly updated with new specimens. At the same time, many plants are truly unique, as they do not grow anywhere other than this garden and their natural range.
Butterfly Garden

There is also a private butterfly garden in the park, which is a separate room fenced with a small grid. This makeshift square is home to more than one hundred winged creatures. Those who have been lucky enough to visit this place say that if you stand still, the butterflies will become so bold that they will start to land on you.
On a note! Butterflies are shy creatures – turn off the flash before taking a picture.
Cactus Garden

In Nong Nooch Park in Pattaya, not only tropical plants grow, but also representatives of other climatic zones. Some of them are cacti, represented by a wide variety of shapes and sizes – from classic straight to flattened, ribbed, spherical, etc. Some of them bloom, others do not, but each of these plants deserves the closest attention.
Bird Garden

A good tropical park can not do without exotic birds. Nong Nooch, which has a large pavilion dedicated to feathered creatures, is no exception to this rule. A considerable number of birds are collected here, impressive not only with their colorful plumage, but also with their unusual singing. Many of them easily land on the hands and heads of tourists, so do not forget to bring bread crumbs, fruit slices, grains and other goodies.
Dinosaur Valley

No less interesting place of Nong Nooch Park in Pattaya is the valley of dinosaurs. It is a high rock, on the slopes of which these ancient creatures are located. Interestingly, the dinosaurs are made in full growth and look so real that they practically do not differ from the real ones. This valley is where you get the best photos.
Mini Zoo

Despite its small size, the mini-zoo of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Thailand is in great demand (especially among children). And all because here you can not only see deer, macaques, piglets, donkeys, camels, turtles and other exotic animals, but also touch them with your hands, as well as feed them all sorts of goodies (treats are sold immediately for 20 baht). Also in the zoo there is a huge aquarium, which is home to various marine life. In addition, at the designated time, anyone can shoot the process of feeding tigers on video.
Shows and performances
Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya is famous not only for its landscape design and exotic plants, but also for its memorable shows. Performances take place several times a day, so you will have time to attend each of them. We will tell you about the most popular ones.
Elephant Show

- Number: 6 submissions per day
- Duration: 45 minutes
- Start of the program: 10.30, 11.30, 13.30, 15.30, 16.30, 17.30.
Do you still think that elephants are the slowest creatures on earth? Then you should definitely come to Pattaya and watch this show! About 50 of these exotic animals live in the park. At the same time, up to 20 individuals can be present in the arena at the same time (both small and adult). All the elephants are well-groomed and quite plump – it seems that they are well taken care of here. They can perform a variety of tricks – play football, throw darts, draw, spin a hoop, etc.
At the end of the program, anyone can get a free “trunk massage” session, buy a picture drawn by an elephant, take a photo with an artist they like, or treat the animals to bananas that are sold immediately. But perhaps the most popular entertainment is elephant rides, which cost about 400 baht. To do this, put a special bench on the back of the animal, designed for 2-3 people.
National Show
- Quantity: 4 performances per day
- Duration: 40 minutes
- Start of the program: 9.45, 10.45, 15.00, 16.00
The national show takes place in the belvedere, located near the main auditorium of Nong Nooch Park in Pattaya. Despite the fact that the pavilion is designed for 2000 people, it is better to come to the performance in advance. This will allow you to take the best place.

The theatrical performance, which introduces the audience to the customs and traditions of Thailand, is divided into 3 parts. In the first of them, you will find expensive scenery, ethnic music and fascinating movements of dancers dressed in folk costumes. After the dance part, there are pictures of military battles showing the long-term struggle of Thais for their own independence. The final stage is represented by elephant fights, at the end of which the animals descend into the audience hall together with the “rulers” of Siam.
Each part of the performance has its own unique style, but in the end they add up to a colorful and incredibly bright spectacle.
