The first place in the ranking was taken by Strasbourg, France.
It’s almost three months before Christmas, but the most experienced and frugal tourists are already thinking about where to go for Christmas in Europe to enjoy the famous fairy-tale atmosphere of local Christmas markets without spending all their money.
The British publication Express has compiled a list of the 11 best Christmas towns in Europe that are worth visiting this year. Each of these towns has something special to offer tourists.
It is worth noting that there is no single date for Christmas markets in Europe. It depends on the festive traditions in each country, with Germany typically closing its markets on December 23-24, while some countries continue their festivities until early January.
