8 best beaches of Valencia — planning a comfortable holiday

The beaches of Valencia are considered to be among the best in Spain, and many are deservedly awarded the “Blue Flag” award for cleanliness and convenience. Every year tourists from all over the world rest here, the reason for this is excellent infrastructure, affordable prices (relative to the whole of Spain). The coastline is designed for beach relaxation, here you can easily find noisy places where parties are regularly held and life is bustling even at night, as well as calm and quiet places for families.

Useful to know! Almost all the beaches of Valencia are distinguished by a comfortable, gentle entrance to the water, which is why the region is included in the list of the best for family travel with children.

General information

The best beaches of Valencia are located in the city limits, they stretch one after another. The coastline is spacious and wide, information stands are installed at the entrance, where a list of services is presented, an overview scheme of equipped recreation areas, and conditions for renting beach equipment.

The territory of the beaches of Valencia is divided into two parts by the port. In the north – there are always a lot of tourists, noisy, crowded, but in the south it is quite easy to find quiet corners.

Water and air temperature in Valencia

The beach season opens in mid-spring, but you can swim from June, when the sea warms up enough (up to +22 degrees) and until the beginning of October. The duration of the beach season depends on the temperature regime, as a rule, in early autumn the water temperature is +25 degrees. But those who like to take a sun bath are waiting for more than 300 clear and sunny days every year.

Most tourists come to Valencia for beach relaxation for three or even four weeks, as the prices here are not as high as in other, more popular resorts. On the shore there are medical posts, convenient fountains with drinking water, showers, rescuers are working.

A tip! A sun lounger and umbrella cost about 15 EUR, if you want to save money, buy a small mat at the entrance to the beach, its price is only 3 EUR.
